Confidence.
I hear many people say that you need to love your body before you start your fitness goals. I always thought to myself, “how do I do that when I am not happy with my own body?”. I never knew what that meant until last year when I worked my ass off in the gym everyday and eventually became happy with how I looked. The confidence that I felt was unsurpassable.
It was the result of dedication to the gym, researching about fitness and food, discipline and consistency with my overall goals and plan.
Tools that I used to help me until I had achieved my ideal goal:
Self-talk: I am strong, I am persistent, I am healthy, I know my body, I treat my body the same way I treat people in my life, I am desirable, I know myself, I focus on myself, I have an amazing personality, my body is improving little by little day by day.
Accountability: Get a workout buddy, invite friends over for lunch and dinner, keep track of your daily intake of food and keep a food diary, post your workouts on tumblr, create a schedule and write down as much information hourly as possible
Visualization: The night before close your eyes and run through the next day, when your at the gym when your at work or school what your eating when your eating it. When you visualize a whole day in your visualizations make sure you look at a clock and see the time it helps with cues.
Gratitude: Close your eyes and tell yourself everything that you are thankful for in your life. I am thankful for my family, for my friends, I am thankful for the fresh food we have in our country, I am thankful I can run in my neighbourhood, I am thankful that I can afford a gym membership, I am thankful I am aware of my body and want to change. Etc.
Dont be a perfectionist: Sometimes the hardest part is getting started but once you get started everything becomes easier. It happens a lot that someone will not go workout because they are afraid that they are not doing something perfectly. You have to ease that worry and just keep going improving yourself every step of the way. If you make a mistake, take a step back and reevaluate. Post questions in tumblr, DO YOUR RESEARCH. The internet is an amazing place for information. If you want to know what to strive for then go google Self-actualization.

Nothing is more sexy than a fit girl who is comfortable with her body because knows that her hard work in the gym and eating habits has paid off. It shows strength, trust and discipline. To me this picture is not just about her wonderful body. It is how this picture makes me feel as a whole. Look at her face, look at the way her arms so beautifully hang. Look at how comfortable she is with the way she looks. She is attractive in more than a physical way for the fact that you can tell that she loves herself is what makes her different than the others. Unique in the best way possible.
Saw a girl in class with her back like this. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Babe.
